UK, Netherlands, Germany and back to UK

Arrived to the sun in London today – is there a better city in the world when the sun is shining?

Have another busy week this week, all customer visits all the time.

By the way, why is it that software companies decide to…..

a) Close the fiscal year where they do a huge percentage of their business

b) Roll out new sales plans, org structures, territories etc

c) Launch brand new offerings

d) Have their annual sales meeting

e) Have President’s Club

…..all at the same time. I know not all companies do this, but it’s amazing how, during the last couple of months of the fiscal year, you are trying to balance so many competing priorities.

By the way….did I mention that Nimsoft has an amazing new product launch in early April? Another one to rock the market. Another one to scare the “competition” but most importantly, another one that customers are going to love and get huge value from.

Tik Tok….can’t wait. This is definitely not your father’s IT environment.

That’s what I’m talking about!

Just received this email from one of our superstars in our German technical team. Love it.
I had a morning meeting with a prospect and was supposed to hold a architecture webex with another in the afternoon in the Netherlands. However, the morning meeting took longer than expected and with public service on strike in Germany, I got stuck and was still on the autobahn five minutes before the webex.

So while the telephone conference started, I was still going 150mph on the autobahn, trying to find a proper 3G network, I found one and pulled over.

And I ended up somewhere in the middle of nowhere on the top of a hill. I put the MiFi 3G router on the roof of the car for better reception – I forgot it up there but remembered before re-entering the autobahn luckily. We did the webex, the customer loves NMS and I had one of the most memorable places I’ve ever held a webex at.

We do what it takes – right?

Joining Nimsoft

Monday, March 7th, 2011

As we know, we’ve had a huge amount of new employees join Nimsoft in the last 12 months. We have been very lucky to attract some very talented individuals.

However, what is true about almost everyone that joins, is that they have to adjust to the pace of life here. Nimsoft moves so much faster than most other companies – our expectations for speed of delivery are really high.

But, that’s also what makes it such a great place to be. We don’t sit around and get tied up in endless bureaucracy – make a decision and execute.

Not for everyone but sure keeps life interesting.

I think that…

…one day, in the not too distant future…

- there will be zero data centers that are not owned/operated by service providers

- software will never be purchased, it will be leased for the amount of time used

- cloud providers will become the single largest consumers of software and hardware

- Nimsoft will be a de-facto standard across service providers

- many of today’s leading vendors will wither away
