This one has been around for some time. I remember blogging about this about a month ago.
In my opinion, there is much more of this type of activity going to happen in the next 12 months.
The large vendors know that they need to address future architectures and business models and they know that their current products and large, perpetual license and services fees are in decline.
I cannot wait to see what 2010 brings…who will cross that chasm?
This is where the leaders of the big guys truly earn their money. How to become the future while continuing to keep their shareholders happy today. It’s a tough challenge.
I’m happy that:
1. Nimsoft is perfectly positioned both technically and business model wise, for the future
2. Nimsoft is and always has been leading the innovation not being dragged into it. Our employees are top notch
3. I have private investors that really understand the opportunity. You don’t normally hear this from a private company CEO but our major investors (JMI, Goldman Sachs, Northzone and others) are the best!!
I consider myself to be a very fortunate person to be surrounded by such excellence.
