Anyone will tell you that one of the keys to successful blogging is to post regularly and if this is true, then I’ve certainly failed that test.
Truth is that I’ve not been too well. I had a septoplasty on my nose to help my breathing, which by itself is painful enough, but I somehow managed to get a sinus infection while recovering….how dumb is that? Getting a sinus infection while recovering from nasal surgery is not the best idea I ever had.
Gotta tell you, probably the most painful week and a half of my life. And boring too as I pretty much couldn’t get out of bed and certainly not out of the house. But…lots of drugs later….and I’ve been back at work this week and catching up.
One of the most amazing things happening right now at Nimsoft is all the talent that we are attracting. We are hiring like crazy but managing to keep the quality level really high. Great new people joining our engineering team….some of the most respected engineers and architects in this business. A new VP Europe joined a few weeks ago that I’m really excited about. A new VP, Talent who has already made a huge difference and we’re making offers to many others that will be joining over the coming weeks.
The relationship with our CA counterparts is a good one and continues to improve all the time. It has been a little “unnatural” for many folks at CA to think of Nimsoft as independent but for the most part, everyone is accepting it, moving on and allowing us to just “get the job done”.
Our product roadmap is excellent and our ability to deliver against it continues. We’ve got some major, major news up our sleeves but that will have to wait for another day.
Anyhow, I’m back at work and, unlike most of America, will be working all next week as well. In fact, I’m going to Europe next week….after all why celebrate Thanksgiving when I could be working?
Seriously, my kids are with their mum for Thanksgiving so I thought that I’d use the time to visit our European friends. I believe that I have a completely jam packed week with customer visits….I’d better take those painkillers with me just in case of a relapse.
